Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the regional finance team of a global alternative investment manager. The role will be responsible for financial control and reporting across private investment funds and their associated holding and investment structures.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of corporate, holding and investment entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Review periodic financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, including consolidations, intercompany balances, accruals and provisions.
• Prepare budgets, management information and variance analysis to support decision‑making.
• Manage external audits and resolve accounting, disclosure and reporting matters.
• Support fund activities such as capital calls, distributions, management‑fee calculations and allocation waterfalls.
• Review investment‑related financial movements, disposals, restructurings and intercompany funding.
• Oversee cash positions, banking arrangements, liquidity requirements and short‑term cash forecasting.
• Monitor receivables, payables and settlement activity across entities.
• Collaborate with tax, legal and compliance teams on cross‑border reporting and statutory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to shared‑service teams and external providers.
• Support finance‑system enhancements and regional initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Approximately 8 years of experience in financial control, accounting, fund finance or a related function.
• Background in private equity, infrastructure, real assets, investment management or complex multi‑entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and/or IFRS, group consolidation and cross‑border reporting.
• Practical experience with capital calls, distributions, investment transactions and valuations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
