General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure accurate accounting records, support month‑end and year‑end close processes, and maintain compliance with tax and statutory requirements. You will work across multiple legal entities, collaborate with finance teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Perform balance‑sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Prepare GST/VAT returns, assist with corporate tax filings, and manage e‑invoicing compliance.
• Review employee expense claims, ensure proper GL coding, and administer Concur expense processes.
• Follow internal controls, identify gaps, and maintain process documentation.
• Support ERP and Concur system testing, implementation, data cleanup, and reporting improvements.
• Participate in finance integration projects and other ad‑hoc accounting duties.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of month‑end close, tax compliance, and audit support.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Concur expense management.
