Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts (7‑10 PQE)

About the role

This is a broad‑based in‑house position for a commercially‑minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business. The role involves handling a varied portfolio of legal matters, with a strong focus on commercial contracting. You will partner with business stakeholders on day‑to‑day commercial and operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advising business teams on general corporate and commercial legal matters.
• Supporting operational, regulatory and risk‑related issues as they arise.
• Partnering closely with internal stakeholders and providing practical, business‑focused legal advice.
• Managing matters independently while working as part of an established legal team.

Required profile

• Approximately 7–10 years’ post‑qualification experience.
• Strong in‑house experience, ideally within a fast‑paced consumer, technology, e‑commerce or similarly complex business.
• Solid commercial contracts experience and comfortable handling a broad generalist remit.
• Pragmatic, commercially minded and able to work effectively with senior business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated stability in previous roles.
• Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor within an established legal function.
