Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial (1-4 PQE)

About the role

This position is for a Legal Counsel who will support a multinational technology and engineering group’s regional operations. Working closely with the General Counsel, you will act as a trusted legal partner, providing practical advice on commercial and operational matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as distribution, maintenance, service and confidentiality contracts.
• Provide business‑focused legal advice on day‑to‑day initiatives and strategic projects.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and propose solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Manage claims, disputes and other legal matters involving customers, suppliers and external parties.
• Develop and deliver legal training for employees.
• Enhance contract templates, workflows and internal legal processes.
• Coordinate with external counsel when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws degree and admission to the Singapore Bar.
• 1‑4 years of post‑qualification experience in private practice and/or an in‑house legal role.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk against business goals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Analytical mindset, sound judgement and meticulous attention to detail.
