Manager, Product Security

About the role

As the Manager, Product Security you will act as the liaison and subject‑matter expert on product security across Astellas. You will lead anti‑counterfeiting initiatives, ensure compliance with global supply‑chain security requirements, and educate internal and external stakeholders on security protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of packaging security features for Astellas products.
• Oversee compliance of internal groups and affiliates with global product security policies.
• Develop, establish and enforce product security policies and procedures.
• Monitor virtual and physical marketplaces for suspicious activity and conduct market surveys in high‑risk areas.
• Manage investigations of counterfeit, falsified, stolen or diverted medicines and support related audits.
• Deliver training to colleagues, law‑enforcement, customs, health authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, QA, Regulatory Affairs, IP, Legal, Communications, Pharmacovigilance and manufacturing sites.

Required profile

• Entry‑level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
• Familiarity with legislation such as the EU Falsified Medicines Directive and the US Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
• Ability to work autonomously within a matrix organization.
