Oil Logistics Manager - Cargo Operations

About the role

Join Macquarie’s Commodity Logistics and Deal Management team to lead oil terminal inventory management and scheduling. You will oversee waterborne movements, inventory control, and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage logistics, operations and scheduling tasks across the deal portfolio.
• Oversee waterborne cargo movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Deliver timely reports and updates to internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Develop deep knowledge of deal types on the RightAngle platform and its integration with Macquarie systems.
• Collaborate with originators, commodity trading desks, tax, market services and legal teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of commodity scheduling and shipping risk.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Approximately 7 years of experience in cargo operations (crude or products) preferred.
• Ability to work with data to generate insights for decision‑making.
• Developing knowledge of AI Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
• Sense of urgency, accountability and ability to meet tight deadlines while multitasking.
• Willingness to learn ancillary areas such as P&L reporting, position management, funding, compliance, tax and insurance.
