Plant Controller – Semiconductor Manufacturing (Singapore)

About the role

The Plant Controller will own the financial management of a high‑volume semiconductor manufacturing site in Singapore. Working closely with the Plant Manager and senior operations leaders, the role drives cost efficiency, improves profitability, and provides actionable financial insights for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee plant financial management, reporting, and month‑end close.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the manufacturing operation.
• Perform cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysis for materials, labour and overhead.
• Monitor inventory valuation, movements and working‑capital metrics.
• Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Quality and HR to identify cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Track CAPEX spending, evaluate business cases and support long‑term investment planning.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
• Manage internal and external audits.
• Lead, coach and develop the plant finance and accounting team.
• Present financial performance, KPIs, risks and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA or CA preferred.
• 5–10 years of finance/accounting experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong background in plant controlling, cost accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and business‑partnering capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
