Procurement & Supply Executive (Shipping Operations)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Procurement & Supply Executive to support the daily purchasing needs of a fleet of vessels. You will source marine spares, stores, consumables, lubricants, provisions and related services, ensuring timely delivery to keep vessels operational.

Key responsibilities

• Review vessel requests, confirm items, quantities and delivery dates.
• Identify and engage suitable local and overseas suppliers for marine products and services.
• Request and compare quotations on price, availability, quality and delivery time.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery arrangements.
• Prepare purchase orders after obtaining required approvals.
• Track open orders, follow up on urgent deliveries and resolve shortages or delays.
• Coordinate with vessels, superintendents, suppliers, logistics partners and finance teams.
• Handle quality issues, claims and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records, monitor supplier performance and support cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in shipping, marine operations, procurement, logistics or vessel support.
• Familiarity with quotation handling, supplier management and order processing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly and respond to urgent vessel requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AMOS procurement system.
• Experience with ShipServ platform.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP procurement modules.
