Product Engineer

About the role

KLA is seeking a Product Engineer to join its Services team in Milpitas, CA. The role focuses on influencing the Product Service Life Cycle, ensuring optimal performance of KLA’s service offerings through retrofits, calibrations, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement features that optimize service business, including retrofit, calibration, cost of service, reliability, and IP protection.
• Develop deep expertise in system operation, integration, and calibration/diagnostics for supported products.
• Manage critical customer issues, coordinate parts delivery, pricing, and special requirements, and work with Engineering to create detailed plans of action.
• Support the training organization by updating knowledge and training infrastructure for mature products.
• Conduct spares obsolescence risk analysis and collaborate with Spares Planning to mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Partner with Operations Quality and Spares Planning to drive part quality improvements from field feedback.

Required profile

• Strong background in product service lifecycle management within a high‑tech or semiconductor environment.
• Experience analyzing data from multiple sources to drive actionable solutions.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and training teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
