Machine Operator

About the role

Festo Singapore is looking for a Machine Operator to join its production team. You will work on precision metal parts, following strict safety, quality and schedule requirements while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to produce products according to specifications, schedules, safety and quality standards.
• Operate machining equipment such as lathe, saw, burnishing and CNC machines to produce precision components.
• Set up, adjust and monitor machining processes, reading technical drawings and using precision instruments (micrometres, Vernier calipers).
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Support fabrication, assembly, inspection and testing of Special Application (SA) products.
• Assemble pneumatic and electric drives and carry out functional testing in line with Festo standards.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness (5S), handle raw materials and support general shop operations.
• Assist with documentation, work procedures and instructions.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum high school qualification or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a metal‑machining workshop.
• Proficient in operating lathe, saw, burnishing and CNC machines.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good command of English and basic computer literacy.
• Team player with a proactive, responsible attitude and willingness to work extended hours when required.
