About the role
The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU seeks a Research Fellow with expertise in environmental engineering and microbiology. The role focuses on innovative research into bioflocs within climate‑resilient aquaculture systems, collaborating across Singapore and China.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a project under a larger Singapore‑China research programme.
- Design, execute, and optimise experiments with scientific rigor.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret experimental data.
- Prepare technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers and industry partners.
Required profile
- PhD in environmental engineering, biochemical engineering, environmental biotechnology/microbiology or a related field.
- Documented research experience in microbial biotechnology (e.g., journal publications).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
