Resident Technical Officer - Tunnel

About the role

Join Bureau Veritas as a Resident Technical Officer overseeing tunnel construction projects. You will ensure that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards while supporting the project team on site.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site supervision and inspection of tunnel construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitor tunnelling activities, including TBM operations, underground structures, deep excavation works, shafts, and station box construction where applicable.
• Witness site tests, inspections, and quality control activities and report any non‑conformances, safety concerns, or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, inspections, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, contractors, consultants, and client representatives on site matters.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized in Singapore.
• Accredited as a Qualified Site Supervisor (QSS) under the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES/ACES.
• Accredited as Resident Technical Officer (Tunnel) under the IES/ACES Specialist Accreditation Programme.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant tunnelling supervision experience.
