Security Engineer, Enterprise SaaS Security

About the role

Google’s Security team is looking for a Security Engineer to protect the enterprise SaaS ecosystem. You will design, build and operate security controls that keep Google’s SaaS usage safe and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust security controls and automated tooling for Google’s enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Perform security assessments, threat modeling and design reviews for new SaaS launches.
• Develop AI‑driven solutions to reduce manual workload and accelerate vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with network and software engineers to harden systems, monitor for intrusions and resolve complex security incidents.
• Provide risk insights and drive remediation actions across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in security engineering, computer/network security, and security protocols.
• Minimum 2 years of experience conducting security assessments, design reviews or threat modeling.
• 2+ years of coding experience in Python, Go, SQL or JavaScript.

Required skills

• Federated authentication/authorization technologies: SAML, SCIM, OIDC.
• Networking concepts including protocols, topologies and encryption.
• Security assessment and threat‑modeling techniques.
