Senior Transport Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Transport Manager to lead our Singapore transport operations for a global supply chain and logistics leader. The role combines operational leadership, commercial partnership, continuous improvement and people management to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective transport services for multinational customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day transport operations in Singapore, meeting service, quality, cost and productivity targets.
• Oversee fleet planning, route optimisation, transport execution and carrier management, both owned and outsourced.
• Maintain strong relationships with transport partners and vendors, ensuring compliance and performance.
• Collaborate with customers to design solutions, support costing and implement new business opportunities.
• Drive profitability through cost management, budgeting and performance metrics.
• Identify and execute continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean and operational‑excellence methodologies.
• Support adoption of transport technology, including Transport Management Systems and control‑tower capabilities.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of transport professionals, fostering a high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in transport, logistics, distribution or supply‑chain operations.
• Deep knowledge of the Singapore transport and logistics market.
• Proven experience managing both owned and outsourced transport resources.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, including managing managers or supervisors.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem‑solving and budgetary responsibility.
