Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise end‑to‑end operations for a leading foods distributor. The role involves overseeing demand planning, inventory, purchasing, warehousing, transportation and cold‑chain logistics for frozen and chilled products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily supply chain activities including demand forecasting, inventory control, purchasing, warehousing and delivery.
• Develop replenishment plans based on sales trends, customer needs and stock levels.
• Monitor stock availability, turnover, expiry dates and slow‑moving items.
• Coordinate purchase orders, inbound shipments and delivery schedules with local and overseas suppliers.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, warehouses, transport providers and other external partners.
• Oversee temperature‑controlled logistics for frozen and chilled food products.
• Ensure product availability while controlling inventory costs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Quality Assurance and other internal teams to meet customer requirements.
• Resolve operational issues such as shipment delays, stock shortages and warehouse discrepancies.
• Review and improve existing supply chain processes to boost efficiency and service levels.
• Track and report key supply chain and operational KPIs.
• Lead the supply chain team while staying actively involved in daily tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or operations, preferably in a managerial role.
• Background in food distribution, FMCG, food manufacturing or wholesale is strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with demand planning, inventory management, purchasing, warehousing and distribution.
• Knowledge of import procedures, freight forwarding and cold‑chain logistics is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work across departments and with external service providers.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
