Vice President, Insider Threat & Cyber Security Assurance

About the role

The Vice President of Insider Threat, Cyber Security Assurance & Defense will lead GIC’s efforts to protect its information assets from malicious or accidental insider activity. Reporting to the Technology Group, this senior leader will shape the insider‑threat program, drive detection and response capabilities, and embed a security‑first culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and enforce information protection policies, standards and procedures aligned with organisational risk objectives.
• Monitor alerts from Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and related detection platforms, analysing logs to identify anomalous behaviour.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting for Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and “living‑off‑the‑land” techniques that evade automated tools.
• Lead or support incident response activities, ensuring timely containment, investigation and remediation of insider‑related incidents.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Digital Forensics, HR, Legal and Compliance to coordinate a unified response.
• Provide actionable recommendations to infrastructure teams to harden environments and prevent re‑entry.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in insider‑threat management, cyber security operations or related fields.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with technical, legal and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of developing detection and response processes.
