Asia Rates Trading Associate – Currencies & Emerging Markets

About the role

Join a front‑office rates trading team focused on Asian markets. You will make markets, price and execute interest‑rate products, and manage multi‑curve risk for institutional clients while collaborating with sales, technology and quantitative research.

Key responsibilities

• Make markets in Asian rates products, ensuring competitive liquidity and execution for institutional clients.
• Price and execute cash and derivative instruments such as government bonds, interest‑rate swaps, OIS, basis and cross‑currency swaps, and listed rates futures.
• Manage aggregate risk across multiple curves, monitoring DV01/PV01, key‑rate durations, curve and butterfly exposures, basis and cross‑currency risks.
• Generate and communicate trade ideas aligned with client hedging and investment objectives.
• Provide timely market colour on auctions, policy developments, inter‑bank liquidity and key trading flows.
• Collaborate with technology and middle‑office teams to enhance pricing tools, trade capture and risk infrastructure.
• Partner with quantitative research to refine pricing model controls, curve construction and risk methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience analyzing or trading in APAC rates markets with exposure to multiple Asian curves.
• Strong understanding of market conventions and pricing across cash and derivatives in Asian rates markets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel and VBA for analytics.
• Familiarity with Python or a similar programming language (preferred).
