Device Engineer (Yield & D0 Improvement)

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Device Engineer to drive yield and D0 improvements for its semiconductor technologies. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to analyse silicon data, resolve process issues and ensure robust production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse zero‑yield and low‑yield wafers to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support technology and product development by driving parametric yield and reliability enhancements.
• Collaborate with module teams to resolve process issues and maintain smooth line flow for on‑time delivery.
• Characterise process windows to achieve robustness and consistency.
• Liaise with division teams (ADG, AMS, AMG, MDG) for technology transfer and compliance with timelines.
• Participate in weekly yield/D0 update calls and maintain the yield master plan.
• Lead MRB meetings regarding SBL lot disposition on a weekly basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor device physics (MOSFETs, BJTs, diodes, power devices).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and yield improvement.
• Willingness to learn electrical characterisation tools and data analysis methods.
