Electrical Engineer – Ship Systems Design

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our ship systems design team in Singapore. The role involves designing, validating, and delivering electrical and electronic solutions for new builds, repairs, and upgrades of vessel systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project engineers to define electrical and electronic system specifications.
• Validate electrical designs and technical data for ship systems, ensuring compliance with class and flag regulations.
• Manage external vendors and contractors to deliver systems that meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee on‑time, on‑budget delivery of electrical systems and support commissioning activities.
• Maintain quality standards, adhere to company processes, and identify opportunities to reduce risk and waste.
• Ensure occupational health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Understanding of ship systems and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Independent, objective‑driven, reliable and motivated.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
