Laboratory Technician – Full‑Time (Entry Level)

About the role

Lighthouse Testing Services is seeking an entry‑level Laboratory Technician to join its laboratory team in Singapore. The role offers hands‑on experience in testing and analysing a variety of samples, supporting quality assurance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis of samples according to established procedures and standards.
• Prepare samples, reagents, equipment, and instruments required for testing.
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment properly and safely.
• Record test results accurately and maintain proper laboratory documentation.
• Ensure testing is carried out in accordance with laboratory procedures and quality requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping within the laboratory.
• Assist with calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and samples.
• Assist with other laboratory duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Management.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Able to follow laboratory procedures and work instructions carefully.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in recording results.
• Responsible, organized, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Experience in petroleum, marine fuel, oil, water, or chemical testing is an advantage.
• Willing to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including day and night shifts as required.
