Financial Controller – Investment Firm (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking a high‑calibre Finance Director/Financial Controller to lead the full finance function of a multi‑strategy investment firm with offices in London and Singapore. Based in our Singapore boutique office, you will own end‑to‑end financial operations, portfolio valuation governance and board‑level reporting across a multi‑jurisdictional structure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, corporate card and expense management.
• Establish and maintain strong controls, process discipline and documentation for all financial transactions.
• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, quarterly and annual financial statements, and oversee month‑end and year‑end close.
• Monitor budget versus actual performance, enforce financial discipline and analyse cost variances.
• Maintain cash visibility across all entities, work with outsourced treasury partners and manage banking relationships.
• Ensure audit, tax compliance and financial reporting meet board and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the London team and provide financial insight to support capital allocation decisions.

Required profile

• Prior experience at a Big 4 audit firm.
• Significant accounting and finance experience within private equity, venture capital or family office environments.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast‑paced, multi‑jurisdictional setting.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands‑on approach.
