Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance and accounting functions for Sales Co operations across Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines, as well as for the Parker Singapore legal entity. The role ensures compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, US GAAP, and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce corporate, financial, and internal‑control policies, adapting local procedures as needed.
• Provide financial partnership to senior management, offering business advice and support for operations.
• Oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and statutory filings.
• Lead the annual budgeting, business planning, and regular forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, corporate tax, indirect tax, GST, and Sarbanes‑Oxley documentation.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering strong leadership and performance.
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and relationships with banking partners.
• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and with tax agents for local and US tax reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, Chartered Accountant, or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years with a Singapore‑incorporated entity.
• Background in a US‑oriented multinational corporation, preferably in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong analytical mindset, high integrity, and hands‑on approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with JDE is a plus).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley controls and documentation.
• Understanding of local accounting standards, income tax, and GST.
