Legal Counsel – In‑House Generalist (Singapore)

About the role

Doctor Anywhere is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its fast‑growing health‑tech legal and compliance team in Singapore. This in‑house generalist role covers a wide spectrum of legal and compliance work, from day‑to‑day contract review to regulatory advisory, employment matters and compliance programme management.

Key responsibilities

• Support one or more business units on operational, commercial and regulatory questions.
• Review, advise on and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including tenancy, vendor, marketing, services agreements, insurance policies and NDAs.
• Provide regulatory guidance across Singapore, Malaysia and other markets on data protection, telemedicine, private healthcare, medical device advertising, employment and payment‑services/insurance requirements.
• Develop, maintain and implement compliance policies, guidelines and training programmes.
• Drive consistent communication and implementation of policies across the organisation.
• Monitor industry developments and assess regulatory implications of new products or services.
• Support due‑diligence responses for clients, partners and investors.
• Integrate AI and automation into legal operations using the team’s AI infrastructure.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory and contentious issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of legal and compliance experience, with at least 2 years in an in‑house compliance role preferred.
• Called to the bar of the relevant local jurisdiction.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance or data‑privacy law is highly preferred.
• Unquestionable integrity and consistently high standards of work.
