Manufacturing Technician – Shot Peening & Balancing

About the role

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain shot peening, media finishing, and balancing equipment at its Seletar Aerospace facility in Singapore. The role involves hands‑on work, adherence to safety standards, and participation in continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain shot peening, media finish, and balancing machines.
• Perform simple troubleshooting and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement corrective actions, and apply preventive measures.
• Maintain 6S lean activities to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
• Support cross‑functional manufacturing processes and participate in EH&S programs.
• Contribute to CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) continuous‑improvement projects.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by the supervisor, including night‑shift and overtime work as needed.

Required profile

• NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience with shot peening, media finishing, or balancing equipment.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, or machining.
• Comfortable with hands‑on operation of tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Meticulous attention to detail and willingness to work permanent night shift and overtime.
