Occupational Therapist for Children with Special Needs

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our early‑intervention centre, Nurture Pods, supporting children with developmental needs in Singapore. You will assess and provide therapy across fine motor, sensory processing, self‑care and functional skills, working closely with teachers, allied health professionals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and establish individualized goals in collaboration with the early‑intervention teaching team.
• Plan and deliver individual or group therapy sessions, adapting strategies, activities and equipment to each child’s level.
• Regularly review and document progress, maintaining clear and timely therapy records.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for case reviews, program planning and transition support.
• Engage with parents and caregivers, providing updates and practical home‑based strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution.
• Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Singapore, or eligible for registration.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children with developmental and learning needs (preferred).
• Good understanding of child development, sensory integration and early‑intervention practices.

Required skills

• Occupational therapy assessment and intervention techniques for paediatric populations.
• Knowledge of sensory integration and fine motor skill development.
• Ability to design and adapt therapy activities and equipment.
