Platform Operations Engineer

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions is hiring a Platform Operations Engineer in the Punggol Digital District (PDD) to perform hands-on operations of the National Cybersecurity Command Centre (NC3) platform and infrastructure. The role maintains service availability, security and recoverability through routine administration, monitoring, incident resolution, technical documentation and the development of automation and reports, under the guidance of senior engineers. It is a contract position until 31 March 2029, with possible renewal depending on performance and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure, networks, applications and security tooling; investigate alerts and service degradation and escalate issues per procedure.
• Follow up vulnerability and compliance scans, patching, asset and configuration updates, backups, restoration tests, firewall, account and log reviews.
• Administer servers, operating systems, network devices, cloud resources and operational tools within approved access and change-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents and service requests, collect diagnostics, apply approved fixes, update tickets and support root-cause analysis and post-incident actions.
• Support change and release activities with implementation steps, test evidence, rollback procedures, maintenance communications and updated documentation.
• Develop and maintain scripts, playbooks, workflow automations, dashboards and recurring reports.
• Run functional, integration, regression and operational-readiness tests for fixes, enhancements and automated workflows.
• Maintain runbooks, asset records, configuration information, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles and operational evidence.
• Work with senior engineers, product managers, cybersecurity teams and vendors on product enhancements and integration issues, and keep current with technologies and security practices.

Required profile

• Relevant study in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in infrastructure, network, cloud, DevOps, security or systems operations.
• Understanding of incident, change, release, configuration and service-request processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and clear documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a multidisciplinary operational team.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of operating systems, networking, monitoring and logging, patching, backup and recovery, identity and access administration and basic security operations.
• Scripting with Python, PowerShell or Bash; familiarity with APIs, automation platforms, Git or CI/CD tooling is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cloud or virtualised environments, container platforms, vulnerability-management tools or security monitoring solutions is advantageous.
• Relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
