Research Associate – Microbiology & Antimicrobial Materials

About the role
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at NTU Singapore seeks a Research Associate to advance targeted antimicrobial systems and develop assays for bacterial infections. You will work on creating detection probes and optimizing microbiological and in‑vivo safety assays.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and optimise sensing platforms for bacterial infection detection and antimicrobial activity assessment.
- Develop probes and assay procedures suitable for clinical diagnostic laboratory applications.
- Conduct microbiological and antimicrobial assays, including experimental design, execution and data analysis.
- Evaluate and validate platform performance using samples from animal models.
Required profile
- Master's degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Biology or a related discipline.
- Hands‑on laboratory experience with in‑vivo studies.
- Strong teamwork, communication and responsibility.
