Research Engineer (Techno-Economic Analyst)

About the role

The Techno‑Economic Analyst will support the evaluation of hydrogen and low‑carbon technologies by assessing their technical performance, economic viability, and decarbonisation potential.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct techno‑economic analysis (TEA) and life‑cycle assessments (LCA) for hydrogen and related low‑carbon technologies.
• Evaluate technical feasibility, commercial viability, and scalability of emerging solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to integrate experimental data into TEA and sustainability assessments.
• Engage with industry partners and stakeholders to communicate findings and identify project opportunities.
• Provide support to other team members as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in techno‑economic analysis, energy‑systems modelling, and life‑cycle assessment.
• Familiarity with hydrogen technologies, renewable energy systems, or carbon‑management solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
