Senior R&D Engineer – Oil & Gas Wellhead Solutions

About the role

The Senior R&D Engineer will lead the development of innovative surface wellhead and large‑size connector products for the oil and gas sector. Reporting to senior management, the role combines technical leadership with project and team management to deliver high‑quality solutions on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D projects focused on surface wellhead products, mudline systems and/or large size connectors.
• Oversee design, development and testing of new product technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project success.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in R&D activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage project budgets and timelines.
• Conduct research to identify new technologies and materials for wellhead and connector products.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve product performance and reliability.
• Review and approve design packages, including layouts, hand stress calculations, tolerance studies and documentation.
• Provide technical advice to operations and sales locations.
• Continuously improve department processes and create product design standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of engineering experience with a focus on oil and gas wellhead products.
• Proven experience leading R&D teams and managing projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
