Vice President, Field CISO – Financial Services, Asia Pacific

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Vice President, Field CISO – Financial Services for the Asia Pacific region. The role sits at the front line of Mastercard’s security team, engaging directly with senior customer executives to shape cyber‑resilience strategies and position Mastercard as a trusted partner.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs, CROs and Board members, providing strategic guidance on cybersecurity, fraud, digital trust and emerging technologies.
• Lead executive briefings, advisory sessions and strategic customer engagements, translating complex security concepts into business outcomes.
• Capture market insights and customer requirements to influence product, engineering and innovation road‑maps.
• Partner with Sales, Product and Services teams to support strategic opportunities and drive revenue growth.
• Represent Mastercard at industry conferences, executive forums and CISO communities, creating thought‑leadership content such as white papers and blogs.
• Advise internal Mastercard leaders on industry trends, cyber threats and competitive dynamics.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in cybersecurity, preferably within financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to engage C‑level executives and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong business acumen with the capacity to link security initiatives to risk reduction and competitive advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive‑level audiences.
