2H University Intern - FR CMOS Device Engineering

About the role

GlobalFoundries is recruiting a university intern for its 2H CMOS device engineering team. The internship is part of the company's talent pipeline and gives students meaningful work experience, one-on-one mentorship, growth-focused assignments and networking with executives. The project focuses on using deep learning to model and optimise semiconductor device performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform device testing and data collection across various platforms
• Develop scripts for data processing, analysis and visualisation
• Prepare and clean datasets for machine learning workflows
• Train and validate deep learning models for performance prediction
• Apply inverse design techniques to generate optimal design parameters
• Optimise model accuracy through iterative training, validation and refinement
• During development, additional hardware design on PCB may be required, and the setup is validated in the final phase by characterising the devices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or equivalent

Required skills

• Preferred: experience with programming languages such as Python, C++ or C#
