Accountant – Finance & Reporting (Singapore)

About the role

The Accountant will support the Finance function at Hanwha Ocean EPU, handling general ledger, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and month‑end closing activities. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role ensures accurate accounting records, compliance with policies, and efficient finance operations across Singapore entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records in the ERP system and post journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation and other adjustments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices and credit notes, monitor receivable balances and follow up on collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules and filing of accounting documents.
• Assist with external audits, tax filings, statutory reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate governance.
• Provide guidance to Finance Executives on accounts payable, expense claims and fixed‑asset matters.
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and ERP implementation projects.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial accounting, general ledger maintenance and accounts receivable.
• Ability to prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations and support month‑end close.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
