Accountant – General Ledger

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to support our General Ledger, statutory and management reporting functions. You will ensure accurate accounting records, timely month‑end closes, and proper reconciliation of accounts while contributing to budgeting, GST and tax reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the General Ledger and keep accounting records up to date.
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requirements.
• Reconcile control accounts and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly management financial reports and analysis.
• Support annual budgeting exercises, collating and preparing financial data.
• Assist with GST and tax reporting matters.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SFRS(I) standards and new Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Handle ad‑hoc duties and projects as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an MNC or Big 4 audit environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and SFRS(I) standards.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, manage pressure and collaborate as a team player.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of Oracle Financial System (preferred).
