Accountant – Maritime Fleet Management

About the role

Join a leading global maritime transportation company as an Accountant supporting the Fleet Management function. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and operational accounting for vessels, ensuring accurate and timely information for management and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts with detailed analysis of vessel operating expenses and management costs.
• Consolidate financial results across the group to support audits and reporting requirements.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting for vessel CAPEX and dry‑dock projects, charter hire, bunker inventory, and insurance provisions.
• Coordinate annual budgets and forecasts, analyse submissions and produce flash reports and board presentations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and authorities on audit, GST and regulatory matters.
• Drive continuous improvements in workflows, systems and reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the maritime or shipping sector.
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail, communication and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Prior audit experience is preferred.
