Accountant – Property Portfolio Finance

About the role
The Accountant will manage the financial reporting and operations for assigned property portfolios within a leading life‑science real‑estate platform. This role ensures accurate statements, budgets and compliance while supporting senior stakeholders and leading a small finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations for property portfolios and review monthly management reports.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and conduct P&L variance analysis for Exco and Board meetings.
- Produce financial statements, consolidated statements and XBRL filings.
- Manage tax filings, liaise with tax agents and review tax packages.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights to shareholders and management.
- Utilise the Yardi accounting system for reporting, consolidation and compliance, and drive process‑improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain templates for analysis, management reports and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (GST, WHT, IRAS) and handle audit queries.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce with a major/sub‑major in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting with strong commercial acumen and understanding of transactional accounting.
