Accountant – Singapore Finance Team

About the role

BGC Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Singapore finance team. The role is pivotal for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and data‑driven insights for both local and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with SFRS and IFRS.
• Lead the general ledger close process, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company transactions.
• Conduct variance analysis, cost tracking and performance reporting for regional and global audiences.
• Ensure compliance with MAS regulations and prepare required submissions such as MAS 610 and statutory returns.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, coordinate statutory audits and tax filings.
• Support corporate income tax, GST returns and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Analyse complex datasets using Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or similar tools, creating interactive dashboards and automating reports.
• Collaborate with business and finance partners to translate data needs into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA/CA (Singapore) or ACCA qualification (mandatory).
• 4–7 years of experience, including at least 2 years with a Big 4 firm.
• Prior experience in brokerage, financial services or capital markets is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials, Hyperion/Essbase and advanced Excel modelling.
• Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Technology‑savvy with a focus on automation and data analytics.
