Actuarial Data, Automation and AI

About the role

Prudential is looking for someone to support actuarial initiatives within its Future Finance Program, transforming actuarial processes through workflow automation, process redesign, enhanced reporting analytics and the adoption of AI solutions. The role works across actuarial teams and enterprise data and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify business use cases and prepare business requirements with actuarial teams, and take part in solutioning, option analysis, testing approaches, test cases, data preparation and UAT validation.
• Analyse actuarial data (for example persistency and claims) to generate insights for management decisions and experience monitoring, building tools, data structures and reusable analytics pipelines.
• Work with enterprise data and technology teams to improve data availability, lineage, definitions and documentation.
• Assist in identifying AI use cases, especially for actuarial reporting and management information, and support pilots and scaled solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of strong experience in actuarial reporting, experience monitoring or business intelligence/data analytics.
• Qualified or near-qualified actuary, or an experienced actuarial professional with strong business credibility.
• Degree in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics or Data Science.
• Experience in data management or implementing an AI solution is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of actuarial reporting processes and ability to modernise them through automation.
• Ability to design end-to-end process flows with data validation, governance and quality standards.
• Actuarial analytics, turning complex analysis into management insights.
• Proficiency in actuarial models, statistical models, Python, SQL and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Knowledge of machine learning or AI is an advantage.
