Actuarial Manager / Senior Manager, Life Insurance Risk Consulting

About the role

EY is hiring a Manager or Senior Manager for its life actuarial team in Singapore, within Risk Consulting. You will work on high-impact opportunities that shape the insurance industry in Asia, building relationships with clients and developing capabilities through formal training and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and lead the delivery of client engagements, including IFRS 17, appointed actuary work, actuarial valuation, pricing and product development, actuarial modelling, M&A and due diligence
• Evaluate financial risk, product distribution and capital issues
• Work with advanced financial modelling approaches and systems, such as designing valuation and Asset Liability Management (ALM) frameworks

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a life actuarial team or an actuarial consulting firm
• Newly or nearly qualified with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), the Society of Actuaries (US) or the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
• Good knowledge of Prophet software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ideally, depth of experience in financial modelling, financial and regulatory reporting, product and distribution strategy, ERM / Solvency II or M&A due diligence
