AI Language Expert – Chinese (Remote, Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking native‑level Chinese speakers to help evaluate and improve AI systems designed for Chinese language learning. Your linguistic expertise and teaching background will directly influence how the AI assesses, corrects, and interacts with learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated Chinese speech and text for accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Evaluate learner speech and writing across CEFR levels Pre‑A1 to B2+.
• Identify errors, unnatural phrasing, and gaps in pedagogical quality.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to enhance AI tutoring models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Required profile

• Native‑level proficiency in Chinese.
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language.
• Fluent English (C1/C2 level).
• Familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
