Analyst, Accounting (General Accounting & Lease Accounting)

About the role

Join Tapestry’s finance team as an Accounting Analyst focused on general and lease accounting. You will support US GAAP and IFRS compliance while contributing to month‑end close, tax filings, and audit processes across our global brands.

Key responsibilities

• Support US GAAP general accounting tasks and lease accounting operations in Tapestry’s financial systems.
• Review lease agreements, amendments, and modifications to determine proper accounting treatment.
• Maintain accurate lease data and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local IFRS standards.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax filings and payments.
• Own components of the monthly close, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliation schedules and act as a point of contact for external auditors.
• Identify and implement AI or automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support regional control, compliance, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure SOX‑related internal controls are performed and documented.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Exposure to AI‑enabled or automated accounting processes.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑market setting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of SAP (advantageous).
