About the role
The Analytical Laboratory Assistant Chemist supports the laboratory by performing tests, preparing samples and maintaining equipment while ensuring quality control and safety standards are met.
Key responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests using test instruments, analyse data and compile reports.
- Prepare samples daily, including cutting and packing.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and general housekeeping.
- Keep quality control records, reagent preparation logs and chemical inventory.
- Dispose of chemical waste according to regulations.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Required profile
- Diploma in Chemistry or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
Required skills
- Use of laboratory test instruments.
- Analytical techniques for chemical analysis.
- Sample preparation (cutting, packing).
- Quality control record keeping.
- Laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
