APAC Investigations & Litigation Counsel

About the role

GSK is recruiting an Investigations & Litigation Counsel for its Asia Pacific legal team, based in Singapore. The role reports to the Assistant General Counsel in the region and covers business-critical investigations and litigation, working closely with internal partners, external counsel and stakeholders. It is primarily on-site with some flexibility for hybrid working where appropriate, and travel is required, sometimes at short notice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sensitive internal investigations across Asia Pacific
• Provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice and support to business partners on investigations and dispute resolution in APAC and beyond
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel on regulatory issues and potential litigation
• Monitor and review developments in local laws and regulations, working with colleagues across the regional legal function
• Support and present in training sessions on legal risks in the region

Required profile

• Law degree from a recognised institution and admission to practice in one or more Asia Pacific jurisdictions or another relevant jurisdiction
• At least 5 years' experience in investigations, regulatory matters or litigation, preferably in a multinational corporate or law firm setting; preference for pharmaceuticals experience
• Strong understanding of Asia Pacific legal and regulatory environments related to investigations and disputes
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and uphold high ethical standards
• Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal, drafting and negotiating skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a multinational matrix organisation, advising on cross-border issues
• Working knowledge of anti-corruption, anti-bribery or compliance programmes
• Fluency in English and one or more Asian languages
• Proven ability to manage complex investigations through to completion
• Familiarity with dispute resolution and litigation processes in Asia Pacific
