Assembly Technician (12 hour shifts / Semiconductor)

About the role

The Assembly Technician will work on routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies for semiconductor applications. The role involves 12‑hour shifts, either day or night, in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using work orders and schematics.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective repairs on sub‑assemblies and components.
• Identify and correct errors, ensuring all assemblies meet quality standards.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps for verification.
• Enter progress, expense and labor data into computer systems.
• Conduct basic computer programming, software installations and repairs as required.
• Inspect incoming parts for defects and audit inventory to ensure availability.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant internship or academic project experience is considered.
• Willingness to work fixed 12‑hour day or night shifts.

• Contract employment with a monthly salary range of SGD 2,600 – 3,600.
