Assembly Technician – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly tasks in a clean‑room environment. The role supports production from component receipt through final packaging and shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly processes according to the Assembly Process Sheet.
• Carry out optical cleaning and assembly per customer requirements.
• Work in a clean‑room, adhering to clean‑room protocols.
• Execute electrical and electronic tests following Test Instructions.
• Maintain accurate WIP inventory records in the system.
• Receive kitting from store and distribute to production orders.
• Package finished products for transfer to store and shipment.
• Complete any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by leaders or supervisors.

Required profile

• GCE ‘O’ Level or Technical Certificate (or higher).
• More than 5 years of experience in opto‑mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Ability to perform electrical testing and interpret electrical schematics.
• Good team player, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts if required.
