Assistant Director, Digital Synthesis

About the role

Science Centre Singapore seeks an Assistant Director, Digital Synthesis to lead the use of AI and data analytics in strengthening internal operations, improving productivity and supporting better decision-making. The role drives practical, responsible and scalable digital solutions across Science Centre Singapore and New Science Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the AI and Data workplan, identifying and prioritising high-impact use cases such as dashboards, analytics models, workflow automation and AI-assisted tools.
• Oversee initiatives across data engineering, analytics, machine learning, generative AI, data visualisation and the adoption of intelligent tools for internal staff.
• Work with business units to turn operational pain points into actionable insights and modernise workflows through data, AI and automation.
• Strengthen data governance, AI governance, data quality, metadata management, access control and responsible AI practices.
• Help develop data, AI and digital competency frameworks, training programmes, playbooks and communities of practice with HR and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, cybersecurity, data protection, governance, financial and performance management requirements, and lead, coach and develop staff.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Engineering, Statistics or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, AI adoption, digital transformation, process improvement, product management and/or ICT delivery, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-level data or AI productivity initiatives.
