Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

A large trading company, listed in Japan and present in more than 70 countries, is hiring an Assistant Finance Manager for its Singapore office due to continued business growth. The position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and involves overseeing bank and account reconciliation and supporting trade finance documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Handle enquiries for Letter of Credit (L/C) confirmation
• Oversee bank and account reconciliation
• Follow up on trade export bill discrepancies, acceptances and payments, and bank queries
• Supervise the Finance team
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of accounting data into the SAP system
• Prepare month-end financial reports

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Banking or Finance, or CPA / ACCA qualification
• At least 4 years of experience handling export L/C documentation and confirmation, accounts and bank reconciliation
• Sound knowledge of L/C, Incoterms, UCP and ISBP
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to multitask and work well in a team
