Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable & Fixed Assets

About the role

This Assistant Manager role sits within the Finance team of the Finance, Investment & Procurement (FIP) Division of the Corporate Group (CORP), which supports IMDA's business units. You will manage and optimise the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments and fixed asset management in line with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor invoices against internal controls, policies and procedures, and process them promptly and accurately per service level agreement
• Verify expense claims with proper documentation and approvals, liaise with claimants on discrepancies, and monitor AP performance, ageing, accrual exposure and recurring issues via dashboards and data analytics
• Use risk-based analytics to strengthen compliance with internal controls, financial policies, approval limits and regulatory requirements
• Manage fixed assets and operating lease accounting, including capitalisation and disposals, and conduct periodic fixed asset verification and reconciliation
• Support internal and external audits, provide transaction evidence, exception analysis and documentation of automated controls
• Handle month-end and year-end activities such as accruals, reconciliations, reporting and audit schedules, and resolve exceptions identified through analytics
• Take part in finance projects such as automation and enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accountancy, with at least three years of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome
• Meticulous, self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and collaborative, team-oriented approach

Required skills

• Proficiency in Workday or a comparable ERP system
• Ability to use data analytics and visualisation tools to identify trends, risks and exceptions
• Working knowledge of automation and AI applications in finance; coding expertise is not required
• Ability to explain financial and system matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders
