Assistant Manager (Data Science), Data & Digital Office

About the role

SingHealth is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager (Data Science) for its Data & Digital Office on a 2-year contract. The role contributes to patient care and hospital operational excellence by working with complex healthcare datasets, building predictive models and AI/ML solutions, and leading data-driven digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Work extensively with complex healthcare datasets using advanced statistical methods and machine learning to surface actionable insights.
• Design and develop predictive models and AI/ML and deep learning solutions supporting clinical and operational needs.
• Implement automation to improve workflow efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate data-driven and digital strategic initiatives, uphold data quality and governance standards, and turn insights into recommendations for management decisions.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Recognised STEM degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; team player with a positive, meticulous and resourceful approach.
• Able to work independently with good time management and a drive for continuous learning.
• Healthcare experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Python, R, SQL and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Keras.
• M365 apps (Power Apps, Access, Excel, Word) and automation tools (UiPath, VBA).
• Statistical analysis, forecasting, simulation modelling and operations research.
• ETL, unstructured data handling and dashboard development.
• Text analytics, clustering, machine learning and AI project management.
