Assistant Manager – Healthcare Mediation Unit

About the role

The Healthcare Mediation Unit, established in 2014, provides conflict‑resolution training and mediation services for medico‑legal and service‑quality disputes between patients and public healthcare institutions. The Assistant Manager supports the unit’s training development and mediation operations, handling workshops, confidential cases, and stakeholder interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to training enquiries and design training programmes, materials, and workshops.
• Collaborate with public healthcare clusters to align training with conflict‑management needs.
• Maintain training databases and statistical records.
• Assess case suitability for mediation, conduct pre‑mediation activities, and prepare parties for settlement.
• Manage the Mediation Helpline and email inbox, ensuring timely responses.
• Update the mediation registry, compile unit statistics, and support outreach initiatives.
• Assist the unit in any additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• Good degree in any discipline.
• Prior training or practical experience relevant to mediation or conflict resolution.
