Assistant Manager, HR Business Partner

About the role

NTUC Health, one of Singapore's largest community health and eldercare providers, is looking for an Assistant Manager, HR Business Partner. The role sits at the heart of daily HR operations, bridging employees, management and HR functions, and offers an emerging HR professional hands-on experience across the employee lifecycle while supporting key business units.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units on HR initiatives, including day-to-day workforce planning and organizational queries
• Support organizational change initiatives through employee communications and basic inquiries
• Work with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Management, L&D, Talent Attraction, Shared Services) to run HR programs and give on-the-ground feedback
• Help the C&B team collect data, report and administer annual merit cycles and promotions
• Review and document standard operating procedures to improve HR efficiency
• Act as first point of contact for employees and managers on general HR queries, routine employee relations and basic conflict resolution, escalating complex issues
• Provide administrative support for performance management, onboarding/offboarding and HR system records
• Keep up with local labour laws and employment regulations to reduce legal risk
• Gather people data and produce routine reports on headcount, attrition and diversity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in HR business partnering or an equivalent role
• In-depth knowledge of the Employment Act, HR organizational policies, processes and best practices
• Ability to build strong rapport with business stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment
• Nice to have: IHRP certification, healthcare industry experience, and willingness to travel to the eastern region to support nursing homes there
